How Can severe Nausea Along With Headache Be Treated?

I felt like I was going to throw up and almost couldn t get to the bathroom. When I bent over the toilet I thought the throw up was going to go all over the bathroom, it was coming up with such force. It got stuck in my throat and would not come out. I felt like my head was going to explode and my eyes felt like they were going to pop out. I got down on my knees and, after moving around a little, I guess the stuff went back down into my stomach. Do you have any idea what happened?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I can see from your medical history that some of the antiarrhythmic drugs have been tried on you. These bouts of vomiting and nausea are indeed a side effect of dofetilide.

Therefore, my opinion is also that it should be discontinued. Let me offer you my insight.

A class III antiarrhythmic drug, amiodarone (Cordarone), is a very effective drug in controlling this atrial arrhythmia and in preventing further bouts from happening.

If you were my patient, I would consider to put you on that drug, plus associate it with a beta-blocker, which is helpful in rate control and, also, in preventing from further episodes.

Also, I would recommend you to undergo an echocardiogram, to assess the structural integrity of the heart valves, also the size of the atrial chambers, in order to further decisions about the strategy of treatment and follow-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
